Mom's Morning May 4th Long Ride - TBD - needs a leader

Join other local moms to for a fun morning bike ride around town. This ride will be a little different than before. We will be covering 13-15 miles. This is a ride for people who have ridden quite a few rides with us and are looking to learn how to cover a longer distance, at a little faster pace. We expect this ride to be 1.5 hours (slightly longer or shorter, depending on the folks who join).
Meet: 7:20am on the Needham Common (wear warm clothes, including gloves and hats, if needed)

Needham Bike Party - May 10th
Welcome to the second Needham Bike Party! We had so much fun last year that we’re doing it again! Come with your bike, your helmet, and all the lights you can find! Glow sticks, holiday lights, and every other bike light decoration is welcome! We will play tunes, ride in style, and have a festive, fun time riding around town! Socializing afterward with your local bike friends.
Meet: 8:00pm on the Needham Common
Roll: 8:15pm
Socialize: 9pm in Needham (location TBD)
Who: All adults (ages 18+) who like to bike (friends, spouses, partners, people who like to bike!)
Rodman Ride for Kids - May 17th
Join the Rodman Ride for Kids and ride 25 or 50 miles to a) try your longer biking distance and b) raise $ for incredible agencies that support kids in the Boston area.
Beth will most probably be riding the 50 mile loop. Come join either the 25 or 50 mile ride. This ride is completely supported with snacks and bike tune-ups beforehand, water stops along the way (1 for the 25 mile route and 3 for the 50 mile route), vans out there if support is needed, and a great celebration and food at the end!
Signup below. If you decide to ride, email Beth (needhambikemoms@gmail.com) so she can look for you and maybe some folks can ride together! No matter what, you’ll meet great people along the ride.
The 50 mile route begins at 9am and the 25 mile at 10:15am. Check the website (rodmanforkids.org) for final details.
Mom's Morning Bike Ride May 18 (20-25 miles) - experienced riders only
Join other local moms to for a fun morning bike ride around town. This ride will be a little different than before. We will be covering 20-25 miles. This is a ride for people who are used to biking longer distances at a pace of about +/-13mph. If you don’t normally bike 15 miles in one ride, this ride isn’t for you. If you are a distance rider, please join! We are looking to expand the options our group offers.

We will be amongst friendly bike moms with a Landry's instructor, no question is silly.

Join other local moms to for a fun biking night. This is a special “Tour de la Cupcake” ride. We will start at the Needham Common and bike to people’s houses where we’ll sample cupcakes! Think of it as a Cupcake Tour on wheels. We will bike at a leisurely pace, enjoying each other’s company, stopping 5-6 times for cupcake tasting.

National Bike to Work Day - May 17
Come join your fellow bike enthusiasts as we bike to work on National Bike to Work Day! Meet at Needham Town Hall, 1471 Highland Ave., Needham, at 6:15am. Pick up bikers in other communities (Newton and Watertown) along the way to Boston City Hall Plaza. Register here. Breakfast and coffee served to all bikers downtown!

Mom's Bike pre-Night Out - Dust off your bike! - April 25
Get ready to ride with us! This mom’s night out will be a way for new folks meet last year’s folks and to get comfortable on the bike.
This event is a low/no pressure meetup. We will have air pumps, can help with minor adjustments, and will go for a VERY short ride around town before heading out for some socializing. This event is perfect for you if you haven’t ridden your bike in years or are a little unsure about biking in Needham. It is also a great way for people who joined last year to kick off the summer on the bike.
Meet at the Needham Common at 6:30pm. We will roll at 7:15pm for a VERY short ride. Socializing afterwards, location TBD.
Walk/Bike/Roll to School
This event is for kids and adults!
April 24th is Needham’s Walk/Bike/Roll to school day! Encourage your kids, your neighbors, and your friends to ride to school!
